The Lombardi Rules


Written by Vince Lombardi Jr., this book was published in 2004.  Lombardi, Jr. took 26 principles from his father’s coaching career and created lessons for management personnel in all phases of business and government. The book opens with the first lesson- Ask Yourself Tough Questions, and forces you to look at yourself in a different manner. Anyone in leadership positions should benefit from this manuscript. Other lessons include Play to Your Strengths, Be Prepared to Sacrifice, Chase Perfection, Be Mentally Tough, Lead With Integrity, Build Team Spirit and Build Team Spirit.  The book is not specifically football oriented as most of the Lombardi books, but mostly targets business leaders. But if you are looking to improve your ability to get the most out of your coaches and players, The Lombardi Rules will give you some great principles to get your mind started.
