Mississippi State’s Joe Moorhead To Speak at ALFCA Convention

ALFCA Executive Director Jack Wood has announced that first year Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorhead has agreed to speak at the 2019 ALFCA Convention.  The convention is scheduled for January 24th- January 26th at the Embassy Suites in Montgomery.

Moorhead came to Mississippi State from Penn State where he served as offensive coordinator for the Nittany Lions for two seasons.  His offensive leadership was an essential part of Penn State’s great 2016 and 2017 seasons when the Nittany Lions won 11 games, earning a Big 10 championship in 2016.  He served as an assistant at Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Akron and Connecticut.  Moorhead became head coach at Fordham in the Patriot League in 2012 and served there for four seasons winning 38 games.

Moorhead will speak on Thursday night along with Duke’s David Cutcliffe and Alabama’s Nick Saban.
