As Ken Karcher reflected on the last fifty years of memories, as a former division one quarterback, NFL quarterback and thirty two year veteran coach, He is reminded of the greatest gift that he encountered along the way, YOU! As he transitions from the sideline to behind the scenes, he is excited to connect with YOU in a new way. His desire is to be available for YOU in environments that allow for personal growth and spiritual enrichment, while building true relationships, regardless of individual success, records, or the scoreboard.
Coach Karcher believes contentment can be very elusive in a performance-based industry. In the midst of professional pursuits, one often misses the gift, the person in front of them. His desire is to remind coaches that they matter.
For as long as he can remember, athletics has played a major role in his life and has certainly influenced who he is today. Like many of you, his experiences included many highs (winning a championship) and lows (being fired and cut). It is during one of these low moments, seventeen years ago, that his family would face the greatest challenge of their lives, the rebuilding of their faith, family and football.
In their brokenness, they encountered a glimmer of hope, in a small community called "The Ride." For the first time in their lives they experienced true relationships, "One Story at a Time." This community became a safe environment where transparency and vulnerability were accepted, and value and worth were recognized. His wife, Pauline, refers to their life as a beautiful mess.

Coach Karcher is excited to announce The W.I.N. Awakening, a 501c (3) sports ministry network for coaches, athletes, and those who lead. The ministry will eventually be composed of three parts. First, Karcher wants to provide encouragement for coaches who are dealing with the pressures and expectations of coaching. Second, he hopes to provide onsite W.I.N. workshops to help coaches live from a place of victory. "Our goal is to help coaches live out of their true identity as we coach," he says. Lastly, Karcher's long term dream is to have a place called the "Rest Stop" where coaches and athletes can be restored as they understand their value and worth to themselves, their families and their teams. Karcher expects to have his W.I.N. Awakening website up soon. He is encouraged by the calls he is receiving from coaches around the country as they inquire about the ministry. "Everyone has a story and we want them to be able to have a place to share them," he says. Karcher has started by publishing videos about the ministry on Football Scoop, where he encourages coaches through short videos weekly. "I want coaches that are struggling to know that there is hope in their brokenness.
