ALFCA Selects Two New Members to Board of Directors

The Alabama Football Coaches Association is pleased to announce the appointment of two more members to their board of directors.
Filling the minority position representing north Alabama is James Clemons head football coach Juan Johnson. The 2025 season was his first at the school, coming north from Baker High School. Coach Johnson served as head coach at Baker for one season. His 2024 Hornets went 9-3, tying the school record for victories in a season. He was selected as the 2024 ALFCA 7A Coach of the Year.
Coach Johnson is a native of Brewton where he was a three-sport athlete and a member of the T.R. Miller 2000 4A State Championship football team. He served as an assistant at Opp, Stanhope Elmore, and T.R. Miller before joining Josh Floyd at Hewitt Trussville in 2016. He spent 8 seasons with the Huskies and eventually became offensive coordinator. Hewitt won 71 games during his tenure there.

Coach Juan Johnson
Representing south Alabama is Vigor head football coach Renardo Jackson. In his first season as head coach of the Wolves, Vigor went 12-3 and was the 5A State Runner Up. He was selected by his peers as the 2025 ALFCA 5A Coach of the Year.
Coach Jackson was no stranger to Vigor. He had spent 14 seasons there as an assistant. During his tenure there, Vigor went to the state finals four times, winning twice. He was the defensive coordinator on their last state title team in 2021. He had spent three seasons as head coach at Leflore before returning to Vigor.
Coach Jackson is a native of Atlanta and a graduate of Stillman College in Tuscaloosa.
