This is the 20th anniversary of the Alabama Football Coaches Association. The association originated after the North-South All Star game in 2004 when members of the South coaching staff decided that Alabama high school football needed an organization to promote and protect our game. A meeting ensued in the spring of 2005 and by July, the ALFCA was officially born. The first board of directors voted to hire former Hewitt Trussville head coach Jack Wood as the first executive director. After 20 years Coach Wood remains our only director, and has taken the association to places that first board never dreamed.
Below is a video celebrating the 20 years of the ALFCA. Thanks to Pure Game Sports for their work on the video.
