New Auburn offensive coordinator Chad Morris will be speaking at the ALFCA Convention along with head coach Gus Malzahn. The two will be part of the Friday morning lineup of speakers at this year’s clinic.
Morris comes to Auburn from a two year stint as head coach at Arkansas. Before that he had been the SMU head coach for three seasons. Morris was a highly successful Texas high school coach using the fast pace up tempo offense and left the high school ranks to become offensive coordinator at Tulsa in 2010. He spent four years as OC at Clemson before taking over at SMU.
Morris and Malzahn have been friends since their high school coaching days. Malzahn has said that Morris is “one of the smartest coach I have ever been around.”
The ALFCA 2020 Convention is January 23rd through 25th at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Montgomery.
