We have made it to October and the second half of the AHSAA football regular season. This also means that it is time to start thinking about a few things in regards to the Alabama Football Coaches Association.
Go ahead and send in your membership dues as soon as possible. Increased membership is always a positive thing for our association. Head coaches might want to assign the job of the gathering the needed information to another coach on the staff. We appreciate the staffs who have already joined as we work to provide our coaches with the services they need to improve themselves and the other members of their staffs. Go to our website alfca.com and go to "FORMS" to get membership applications if needed.
Just a reminder that the deadline is November10th for your nominations for coach of the year awards, assistant coach of the year and lifetime achievement awards. Coaches can always go to our website alfca.com and get nomination forms to print. Start thinking now about some of your peers who have done an outstanding job this season.
The deadline is also November 10th for scholarship applications. Coaches can go to the website alfca.com and look under "FORMS", then click "Scholarship Applications". There you can find the different scholarships available as well as application forms to print if needed.
We will be at Super 7 again this year with our annual social. The 18th annual ALFCA Convention is scheduled for Montgomery's Embassy Suites on January 26th and 27th, 2023 with the ALFCA Coach of the Year Banquet scheduled for Saturday, January 28th at lunch.
