Assistant Coach

Justin Little

Maplesville

As the Offensive Coordinator at Maplesville High School, Coach Justin Little was the architect behind a high-powered offense that led the Red Devils to a 12-2 record, a perfect 7-0 in region play, and a spot in the 1A State Championship game. Averaging an impressive 34.3 points per game, the offense delivered consistent results throughout the season.

Quarterback Pearce Yeargan praised Coach Little’s leadership, saying, “Coach Little always shows determination and energy. He has a great mind for strategy and always keeps us moving forward, no matter the challenge. He always has a purpose and passion for each play and always pushes us to do our best."

Coach Little’s ties to Maplesville run deep. A graduate of the school, he started his coaching career as a volunteer there before stints at Corner Middle School and Jemison. Since returning to his alma mater in 2018, he has guided the Red Devils to four 10-win seasons, four region titles, and this year’s championship appearance. In addition to his football role, he has served as the school’s athletic director and head baseball coach.

Head Coach Brad Abbott noted, “Justin is a great teacher of the game and knows how to adapt his offense around his players.”

Former Maplesville coach Brent Hubbert, now the head coach at T.R. Miller, added, “Justin is a student of the game and a very hard worker. He’s constantly looking for an edge and coaching the fundamentals the right way.”
