Public address announcers play a very important role at AHSAA sports events; therefore, it is our mission to offer them resources to assist them in an announcer’s role. As a result, the AHSAA will be holding a Symposium for High School Public Address Announcers at the AHSAA Office on Wednesday, August 11 from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. We encourage all our member schools to send their PA Announcers and school broadcasters to this clinic, which will be conducted by highly acclaimed Auburn University Public Address Announcer and longtime broadcaster Ric Smith.
