In case coaches have not taken a look at the playoff meeting information, here is the letter sent out by the AHSAA this week.

RE: 2021 football Playoff Meetings
As the 2021 football season is coming to an end, we want to say thank you to all our teams for another successful year. Whether you are making the playoffs or not, you have made a lasting impact on young people’s lives.
For those schools whose season will continue next week, we say congratulations. We also want to provide information about this year's playoff meetings. As we have done in the past, week one’s meeting will be an in-person meeting. All classes (1A-7A) will meet on Saturday, October 30, at 9:00 A.M. at Ralph David Abernathy Hall on the campus of Alabama State University. https://www.google.com/maps/@32.3642155,-86.2913374,17.75z?hl=en
Each school will be limited to two representatives at the meeting.
Starting this year, other meetings up until the meeting following the semi-finals will be virtual. A Link to the virtual meeting will be sent to participating schools Friday nights when the brackets are complete.
Principals will also need to sign playoff contracts in Dragonfly. Principals will receive an email reminding them to sign the contract as soon as the game is created in Dragonfly. All contracts will be generated by the AHSAA. For the first-round game, principals will need to specify the number of officials that are being requested for the game. As a reminder if schools can’t agree, the number of officials will default to 7. For each round, principals should confirm the location of the game.
Before each in person meeting, schools should complete the travel voucher. The voucher can be found at Schools should also https://www.ahsaa.com/Sports/Football/Coaches-Football-Expenses. There will be no paper vouchers at the in person meetings. Each school may only submit one voucher per meeting.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Brackets
● All brackets will be created by the AHSAA
● Week 1 playoff brackets will be released when finalized on Friday, October 29
● After week 1 email will be sent when Brackets are official.
Film Exchange
● Open Exchange
○ Teams have the option of taking part in the open film exchange. In order to take part in the open exchange, teams should upload their last 3 regular season games. All playoff game film should be uploaded to the exchange the night of the game.
○ The open exchange will keep teams from having to wait on the opposing school to send video
○ Teams must upload 1 angle (Sideline wide). Teams are free to exchange more games through
Regular exchanges

○ The open exchange should be ready by Thursday (10/28/2021)
● Regular Exchange
○ Teams must exchange their last two game videos but may exchange additional video and angles by mutual agreement. Both Schools may agree to exchange videos electronically or by any other means. This exchange should take place prior to that week’s playoff meeting
Contracts
● Before 8:30 A.M. on the Saturday Before the next round’s game, participating principals must certify and approve the playoff contract (including the number of officials, 5 or 7, for first round games) which will be found in Dragonfly for the game.
● Contracts available in Dragonfly at the conclusion of the previous week’s games
● An email reminder will be sent to participating principals on the Friday before the playoff game

WEEK 1 (October 30, 2021)
● First Round all Classes
● Mandatory in person for all participating schools
● Expense sheet at ahsaa.com
● All Classes meet at 9:00 (Each school is limited to two attendees)

● Playoff packet provided (online and hard copies)
● Game ball to schools
● Representatives from Knight/Eady, City of Birmingham, and GoFan presentations, answer questions
WEEK 2 (November 6, 2021)
● 1A-6A Second Round, 7A Quarter Finals
● Online meeting at 9:00 (link will be sent Friday night after brackets are set)
● Review playoff packets and brackets
WEEK 3 (November 13, 2021)
● 1A-6A Quarter Finals, 7A Semi-Finals
● All classes online meeting at 9:00 (link will be sent Friday night after brackets are set)
● Review playoff packets and brackets
WEEK 4 (November 20, 2021)
● 1A-6A Semi-Finals
● 1A-6A Online meeting at 9:00 (link will be sent Friday night after brackets are set)
● Review playoff packets and brackets
● 7A, Flag in person meeting at the AHSAA
