Bubba Jennings Takes Head Job at Douglas

Bubba Jennings, assistant coach at Sardis and former head coach at Susan Moore, has been selected as the new coach at Douglas High School according to a report from the Sand Mountain Reporter.

Coach Jennings has spent the last two seasons at Sardis. Previously he had served as head coach at Susan Moore from 2006-2014.  Coach Jennings was 51-43 during that tenure, going 5-5 in the playoffs. He had taken over the Susan Moore program at midseason in ’06, and led the Bulldogs to a 7 straight wins before losing in the semi finals to Clay County.

He takes over a Douglas program who has not had a winning season or a playoff appearance since 1998. The Eagles play in 5A, Region 7, which was won in 2016 by Scottsboro.
